During March 2025, Deborah Shodamola optimized the CI/CD deployment infrastructure for the hngprojects/AI-Ad-Gen-Frontend repository by migrating from GitHub-hosted to self-hosted runners. This transition addressed ongoing billing issues and improved cost predictability while maintaining the existing deployment workflow to ensure uninterrupted releases. Deborah utilized her expertise in DevOps and CI/CD, working primarily with YAML to implement and document the migration. The approach preserved release velocity and minimized risk during the changeover, laying the foundation for scalable pipeline resources and enhanced governance. The work demonstrated a focused, infrastructure-level improvement with depth in automation and deployment process management.
