During November 2025, dec05eba enhanced the basecamp/omarchy repository by redesigning its screen capture and recording features. They implemented desktop portal capture to support external GPUs and HDR, expanded capture options to include window, monitor, and region selection, and integrated both desktop audio and microphone input. Using Bash scripting and audio processing tools, dec05eba introduced a CPU encoding fallback for broader hardware compatibility and refined menu logic to reflect available capture modes. Hotkey and menu controls were added to reliably stop recordings, addressing workflow reliability. The work demonstrated depth in scripting, command line tool integration, and cross-repository feature design.
