Deepesh Bathija developed a new server subcommand for the OpenKommander CLI, enabling users to bootstrap the REST API server directly from the command line and streamlining local development workflows. Working in Go, Deepesh defined the command structure, integrated concise help text, and connected the CLI to initiate the backend server, laying the groundwork for future API-driven features. He also improved the project’s documentation by removing an invalid 'exit' command reference from the README, reducing user confusion. This work in the IBM/openkommander repository demonstrated backend and CLI development skills, with attention to maintainability and clarity in both code and documentation.
