Deep Patel contributed to the uc-cdis/gen3-gitops repository by developing and refining CHORDS resource definitions, access policies, and portal text updates to enhance governance and data discoverability. Leveraging skills in configuration management, data modeling, and DevOps, Deep aligned naming conventions and consolidated changes through cohesive pull requests, ensuring production readiness and traceability. In March, Deep addressed access control stability by rolling back configuration changes in fence.yaml and user.yaml, restoring environment parity and reducing security risk. The work demonstrated robust GitOps practices using YAML, with a focus on operational reliability, clear documentation, and effective cross-repository coordination throughout the development cycle.
