During September 2025, Dej J. developed the Belgian Weather Provider Integration for the home-assistant/core repository, enabling Home Assistant users to access localized weather data from meteo.be, including current conditions and forecasts. The integration was implemented in Python, leveraging API integration and full stack development skills to map external weather data into Home Assistant’s data model. Dej focused on commit-based development and open source collaboration, ensuring the new provider expanded the ecosystem and improved weather accuracy for Belgian users. While no bugs were fixed during this period, the work demonstrated depth in weather data processing and thoughtful API data mapping.
