Worked on the music-assistant/server repository to deliver a user-focused Artist Albums API, limiting results to ten entries to enhance both performance and user experience. Applied Python for backend development, integrating with the Spotify Web API and emphasizing robust error handling throughout the artist data pipeline. Implemented defensive programming techniques, including structured logging and exception handling, to prevent cascading failures and improve diagnostics. Enhanced observability by adding detailed debug logging for error responses, which streamlined issue resolution and reduced latency. The work prioritized resilient API behavior, efficient payload management, and maintainable code, resulting in a more reliable and performant artist data workflow.
