Worked on the Klimatbyran/garbo repository to enhance API robustness and data integrity in October 2025. Addressed a backend issue by updating the Scope1And2Schema within response.ts, making the 'total' field nullable to accommodate missing values in API responses. This change reduced the risk of runtime errors and improved the resilience of downstream data processing when totals are unavailable. The solution focused on backend development and API design, utilizing TypeScript to implement schema modifications. By allowing for absent totals without causing failures, the work simplified integration for consumers and contributed to more reliable data handling across the application’s backend systems.
