Worked on the xpsi repository to enhance onboarding and data visualization for astrophysics workflows, focusing on Jupyter Notebook and Python. Improved installation guidance for Mac users by clarifying documentation and addressing known platform-specific issues, reducing friction for new users. Upgraded the Instrument Synergy notebook by refining Matplotlib-based plots, adding color bars, correcting units, and improving label clarity to support more accurate data interpretation. Enhanced the Polarization notebook with normalized Stokes plots, updated legends, and a new Q-U plane visualization, making polarization analysis more accessible. Emphasized clear documentation and reproducible scientific computing, delivering three feature sets in one month without bug fixes.

December 2024: Improved onboarding and data-visualization quality for X-PSI on Mac and in notebooks. Delivered three feature sets across the xpsi repo: Installation Guidance Enhancements for Mac to fix a minor typo and add a note about known Mac installation issues; Instrument Synergy Notebook Visualization Improvements to add color bar, units, corrected units in the effective area plot, and clearer labels; Polarization Notebook Enhancements to improve Stokes plots, normalize by max absolute value, add legend and Q-U plane plot, enhancing interpretability of polarization analysis. These changes reduce user friction, improve data interpretation, and demonstrate solid cross-disciplinary skills in documentation, notebooks, and visualization.
