Worked on the storybookjs/storybook repository to deliver a targeted UI enhancement for the Viewport Tool, focusing on improving the workflow and UX consistency within the toolbar. Developed a feature that highlights the active custom viewport by injecting a synthetic option reflecting current settings, allowing the Select component to accurately recognize and display the selection. This approach addressed mismatches between the active viewport and toolbar state, reducing confusion during viewport testing. The work was implemented using React and TypeScript, with changes scoped specifically to the viewport feature, resulting in clearer, more maintainable code and a more intuitive front end development experience.
