Worked on enhancing German localization for the openrails/openrails repository, focusing on refining the de.po file to improve translation accuracy and consistency across the user interface. Addressed typos, improved readability, and expanded translations for features related to updates, installation paths, car cabs, messages, and viewer debugging. Utilized localization skills and expertise with PO files to ensure that German-speaking users experience clearer onboarding and in-app guidance. The work contributed to reducing user friction and support requests by aligning UI translation parity across core components. This targeted localization effort improved the overall usability and accessibility of the application for German users.
