
Developed and integrated a Solar System Object Query Module for the LSST Data Management System within the lsst/pipe_tasks repository. This work focused on enabling efficient querying of solar system objects through the Sorcha service by implementing SorchaEphemerisQueryDRP.py, which streamlined access to ephemeris data for astronomical observations. Leveraging Python programming and data management skills, the module enhanced the LSST pipeline’s ability to support observational planning and improve data provenance for solar system research. The approach emphasized robust data analysis and seamless integration with existing systems, delivering a targeted feature that addressed a specific need in astronomical data workflows.
