During January 2025, WoellundWoell focused on backend development for the pimcore/generic-data-index-bundle repository, addressing a critical issue in document indexing. By correcting the event class import path, WoellundWoell enabled the indexing service to properly extract and handle custom field mappings for documents, directly resolving issue #271. This PHP-based solution improved the reliability and accuracy of search functionality by ensuring that custom fields are indexed with correct mappings. Although the work centered on a single bug fix rather than new features, it demonstrated a precise understanding of event-driven architecture and contributed to better data integrity within the Pimcore ecosystem.
