During January 2025, Devkid enhanced the Mic92/dotfiles repository by implementing a security-focused SSH key rotation feature for Alfred across multiple devices. Leveraging Nix for system configuration, Devkid migrated from legacy RSA keys to modern Ed25519 keys, improving both cryptographic strength and cross-device compatibility. The work centralized SSH key management within the Nix configuration, enabling automated distribution and consistent usage across all relevant systems. This update reduced manual maintenance and ensured uniform security standards for Alfred workflows.
