Over a two-month period, contributed to abu-dhabi-squad’s Food-Change-Mood and Plan-Mate repositories by delivering robust CLI features, scalable backend architecture, and asynchronous data handling. Developed typo-tolerant meal search and a random meal generator using Kotlin and Java, integrating KMP-based pattern matching for efficient string searching. Enhanced code quality through modularization, dependency injection, and comprehensive unit testing with JUnit and MockK. In Plan-Mate, implemented MongoDB coroutine integration and stabilized suspend usage for reliable asynchronous operations. Focused on maintainability by refactoring code, improving test coverage, and reorganizing packages, resulting in more scalable, testable, and maintainable backend and UI components.
