Worked on improving codebase hygiene in the LunarG/gfxreconstruct repository by implementing a .gitignore file to exclude Gradle build artifacts, specifically the .gradle directory, from version control. This change reduced repository noise and helped prevent accidental commits of unnecessary files, supporting a cleaner and more maintainable project structure. Applied similar ignore rules to the Tpcpp template, streamlining contributor onboarding and ensuring consistent repository standards. Utilized git and version control best practices throughout the process, focusing on plaintext configuration files. The work contributed to more reliable continuous integration workflows and facilitated faster, more efficient onboarding for new contributors to the project.
