During May 2025, Diego Salazar enhanced the dbeaver/dbeaver repository by implementing a feature that displays the count of child nodes within expanded folders in the Database Navigator. This addition, developed in Java, improves user experience by providing immediate insight into the size of database objects directly in the navigation tree. Diego integrated this functionality with the existing UI label provider and made the display configurable through user preferences, demonstrating skills in UI development, database navigation, and preference management.
