During November 2024, Dima Schostov developed a Conference Announcements Management feature for the stankinUits/uits_portal repository. He designed and implemented a new ConferenceAnnouncement model using Django and SQL, created the necessary database migration, and customized the Django admin interface to support reliable storage and display of upcoming conference details. This backend solution improved event visibility and streamlined content governance by enabling controlled updates and auditing of conference data. Dima’s work focused on robust data modeling and admin tooling, laying a solid foundation for future event-related features while enhancing user engagement through accurate, easily managed conference information within the portal.
