Developed a robust URL resolution system for the lightpanda-io/browser repository, focusing on accurate handling of multiple URL schemes and complex base or path combinations. The implementation in Zig emphasized backend development and comprehensive error handling, ensuring that invalid URLs now trigger clear TypeError messages to simplify downstream processing. Extensive regression testing was introduced to cover a wide range of URL resolution scenarios, which increased reliability and reduced the risk of future regressions. This work improved both the correctness and maintainability of the browser module, supporting greater developer productivity and delivering tangible business value through enhanced reliability and streamlined error management.
