Dipto Chaudhuri focused on backend development and testing for the trufflehog repository, addressing a critical issue in Azure Service Principal secret expiry reporting. Using Go and leveraging API integration skills, Dipto delivered a targeted bug fix that restored visibility into expired credentials by ensuring they are reported as invalid rather than dropped. The solution enhanced error handling within the Azure Entra v2 detector, aligning expiry logic with existing error cases and preserving important expiry information. Comprehensive tests were added to validate the new behavior, improving robustness and regression protection. This work reduced security blind spots and enabled more timely remediation of expired secrets.
