Liilliil initiated Russian localization for the KOReader User Guide in the koreader/koreaderhub.io.git repository, focusing on improving accessibility for Russian-speaking users. They established an end-to-end localization workflow using Weblate, integrating translation progress tracking and preparing the project structure for scalable internationalization. Working primarily with PO files, Liilliil completed the initial Russian translation commit, covering nearly a fifth of the guide’s strings. Their work emphasized i18n and localization best practices, ensuring that translation strings were updated to enhance user experience. Although no bugs were fixed during this period, the groundwork laid supports future expansion and ongoing translation quality improvements.
