Worked on enhancing firmware version reporting for ARM Sgi platforms by implementing dynamic SMBIOS Type 0 firmware version reporting in the tianocore/edk2-platforms repository. Replaced the previously hardcoded BiosVersion with a dynamic release version string, ensuring that firmware versions now align with release notes across different releases. This approach improved release validation, traceability, and reduced manual errors in version reporting. Utilized C for firmware development within embedded systems, focusing on robust integration and maintainability. The work addressed a key bug, resulting in more consistent and reliable version information for SMBIOS reporting, supporting better cross-release consistency and validation processes.
