During October 2024, Diverse Mix focused on backend development for the climatepolicyradar/navigator-backend repository, delivering a targeted update to enable CORS for Climate Project Explorer domains. By updating the CORS configuration and managing a version bump, Diverse Mix ensured the backend could securely accept cross-origin requests from new domains, facilitating smoother integration and data ingestion. The work involved Python programming and API configuration, emphasizing commit-based traceability for maintainability. While the scope was limited to a single feature with no bug fixes, the update addressed integration friction and improved the platform’s readiness for expanded analytics and external data sharing use-cases.
