Diviv developed an automated pull request labeling feature for the confluentinc/kafka repository, targeting tiered storage changes. Using GitHub Actions and YAML, Diviv implemented a workflow that detects modifications to tiered-storage-related files and applies a corresponding label to the PR, streamlining governance and triage for the project. The solution standardized PR metadata, reducing manual review effort and improving traceability from commits to labeling behavior. While no bugs were addressed during this period, the work demonstrated a clear end-to-end approach to workflow automation, leveraging continuous integration and DevOps practices to enhance deployment efficiency and auditability within the Kafka codebase.
