During October 2025, DJ Ken enhanced Chinese localization for the galaxyproject/galaxy repository, focusing on internationalization and maintainability using Vue.js and JavaScript. He corrected 99 missing translations and restructured locale files to mirror the English version, ensuring consistency and easier future updates. By centralizing translations in locale.js, he improved the project’s scalability and documented remaining hardcoded strings in Vue templates, outlining a clear path for further i18n refactoring. This work reduced localization debt and improved the user experience for Chinese-speaking users, demonstrating a methodical approach to internationalization and a strong grasp of localization best practices within a modern JavaScript framework.
