During October 2025, DJ Monta initiated the Japanese localization of the KOReader User Guide in the koreader/koreaderhub.io.git repository, focusing on internationalization and accessibility. Leveraging PO files and a Weblate-based translation workflow, DJ Monta translated the initial set of strings and established a scalable process for ongoing collaboration. The work laid the foundation for supporting Japanese-speaking users and set up infrastructure for future localization efforts. By integrating documentation, localization, and translation skills, DJ Monta enabled broader community participation and positioned KOReader for expanded international reach, though the depth of work was limited to early-stage groundwork and process setup.
