Worked on enhancing the exporter subsystem in the samply/focus repository, focusing on improving the reliability and correctness of exported data. The work involved implementing robust query handling by ensuring all exporter requests are base64-encoded and introducing strict validation for query formats. Enhanced error handling was added to address missing or invalid parameters, while the processing flow was streamlined to reduce latency and minimize edge-case failures. These changes improved compatibility with expected data formats, supporting better downstream integration. The project was developed using Rust, with an emphasis on backend and API development, and demonstrated careful attention to error handling and data fidelity.
