Worked on the splunk/public-o11y-docs repository to deliver a targeted documentation update focused on OTLPHTTP token passthrough. The effort clarified the distinction between source tokens and gateway tokens for collectors operating in agent mode and when exporting to the gateway’s OTLP receiver. Using RST and leveraging strong documentation skills, the update revised configuration guidance for authenticating with the otlphttp exporter, aiming to improve security and reduce misconfigurations. No bugs were addressed during this period, as the work concentrated on enhancing onboarding efficiency and aligning documentation with security best practices to support smoother customer adoption and reduce operational risk.
