Worked on the namiltd/openwrt repository to improve toolchain stability and compatibility for glibc 2.43, focusing on system programming and compiler development in C. Addressed a critical compatibility issue by backporting the removal of struct termio and legacy ioctl interceptors from GCC 15 to the GCC 14 patch series, ensuring that the toolchain builds cleanly with the updated glibc, which no longer exposes struct termio. Validated these changes across architectures to maintain portability and reduce downstream build risk. The work emphasized careful patch management and thorough validation, contributing to the ongoing reliability of OpenWrt’s cross-compilation environment.
