During February 2026, Lepage added Go 1.26.0 support to the compiler-explorer/compiler-explorer repository, enabling users to compile and test code with the latest Go language features. This work involved updating backend toolchains and aligning infrastructure to accommodate the new Go version, ensuring seamless integration across both the UI and backend. Lepage coordinated infrastructure changes and validated the end-to-end workflow, allowing developers to use Go 1.26.0 without additional setup. The project required expertise in Go and backend development, and addressed the need for up-to-date language support, directly improving developer productivity by reducing friction in the compilation and testing process.
