Worked on the moltbot/moltbot repository to enhance security for remote directory handling, focusing on backend development and shell scripting. Addressed a critical bug by hardening validation logic to ensure all remote directory operations remained within the designated root, effectively preventing unsafe symlink traversal and potential sandbox escapes. Leveraged JavaScript and Shell to implement these changes, with thorough testing to verify compliance and reliability. The solution involved refining SSH sandbox argument handling, thereby improving the overall security posture for remote file operations. All updates were merged via squash commits to maintain a clean project history and facilitate future maintenance and review.
