During January 2025, Boris Pruessmann expanded cross-platform support in the GaetanLepage/nixpkgs repository by enabling macOS compatibility for the rmpc package. He achieved this by updating the Nix expression to include the darwin platform, allowing the package to build and run seamlessly on macOS systems. This work leveraged his skills in cross-platform development and package management, focusing on improving platform parity and reducing friction for macOS users. By addressing platform-specific requirements in Nix, Boris delivered a targeted feature that broadened the package’s usability. The scope of work was focused, with depth in platform integration and attention to developer experience.
