The approach involved updating the package’s source fetch details with new hashes to match the upstream release and introducing a flag to skip a known broken test, ensuring that builds remained reproducible and stable. Leveraged expertise in build systems, package management, and the Nix language to streamline the upgrade process. The work reduced maintenance overhead and helped maintain compatibility with the latest rmpc release without introducing regressions or instability.
