During January 2026, Hedge3x developed a Javadoc Strictness Enforcement Plugin for the spring-security repository, focusing on improving documentation quality and build reliability. The plugin, written in Groovy and integrated with Gradle, automatically fails builds if Javadoc warnings are detected, ensuring that API documentation remains consistent and up to date. By embedding this check into the build automation process, Hedge3x addressed the risk of undocumented API changes, particularly benefiting the spring-security-test module. This work demonstrated skills in build automation, static analysis, and documentation discipline, resulting in strengthened quality gates and supporting safer, more maintainable release cycles for the project.
