Over a two-month period, contributed to both the github/safe-settings and lakekeeper/lakekeeper repositories by delivering targeted features focused on automation and security. For github/safe-settings, implemented a GitHub Actions-driven full settings synchronization using an external runner, updating documentation to support both scheduled and on-demand syncs and streamlining operational workflows. In lakekeeper/lakekeeper, developed support for Attribute-Based Access Control by enabling optional STS session tags in S3 requests, updating configuration and documentation to enhance granular access management. Work was primarily done in Rust and JavaScript, leveraging skills in CI/CD, AWS, and DevOps to improve reliability, scalability, and security without introducing new bugs.
