In June 2025, Domen focused on governance and maintenance hygiene within the Shopify/nixpkgs repository, delivering an administrative update to the maintainer list by removing the maintainer 'domenkozar' from multiple package definitions. This work, implemented using Nix and leveraging skills in package management and repository maintenance, did not introduce functional or user-facing changes but instead improved the accuracy of ownership records and enhanced repository auditability. Domen’s approach emphasized clear commit discipline and traceability, linking changes to relevant issues. The update addressed governance drift, reduced future maintenance overhead, and contributed to the long-term sustainability of the repository’s maintenance processes.
