During May 2025, Jiahui Dong focused on improving reliability and correctness in the geerlingguy/homebrew-cask repository by addressing installation integrity issues for the Cherry Studio Homebrew Cask. Jiahui updated architecture-specific SHA256 checksums for both ARM and Intel builds, ensuring accurate file verification and preventing installation failures across different platforms. This work required a strong understanding of Homebrew’s package management system and proficiency in Ruby, as well as attention to cross-architecture compatibility. By aligning checksums with each architecture, Jiahui reduced potential support burdens and contributed to a more robust and maintainable Homebrew Cask ecosystem for end users.
