During a one-month engagement, Doute D. enhanced observability and deployment reliability for the holochain/wind-tunnel repository by enabling Holochain metrics reporting within Nomad-based deployments. They updated the Nomad job template using HCL and Bash to inject environment variables for metrics and ensured the metrics directory was created before running Holochain scenarios, preventing runtime failures. This work leveraged DevOps and Infrastructure as Code practices to improve monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting for Holochain applications deployed in Nomad environments. The feature delivered deeper operational insight, addressing a key gap in observability and contributing to more robust and maintainable deployment workflows for the project.
