During November 2024, Draen94 developed a new feature for the Meshtastic-Android repository, enabling users to copy selected messages to the clipboard directly from the message selection menu. This work involved adding a copy button to the UI and implementing the underlying logic in Java and Kotlin, leveraging Android’s Clipboard API to streamline message sharing and logging. Draen94 ensured that the existing resend button behavior remained unchanged, maintaining a consistent user experience. The feature was carefully integrated to minimize risk, focusing on isolated UI changes and stable functionality, and demonstrated proficiency in Android development and thoughtful attention to workflow efficiency.
