Worked on the okx/optimism repository to improve the stability of the Alt Data Manager by addressing a critical edge case involving the finalized head update when no commitments are present. Applied a test-driven approach using Go to implement a targeted bug fix that ensures the finalized head remains accurate, preventing incorrect state propagation and potential inconsistencies downstream. Developed and integrated comprehensive tests to validate this behavior, enhancing the reliability and state consistency of the backend system. Maintained clear commit hygiene and traceability throughout the process, demonstrating disciplined backend development and a strong focus on robust, maintainable code and testing practices.
