Worked on enhancing Finnish localization for the OsmAnd repository, focusing on updating translations to reach 71.6% coverage using Weblate. Leveraged XML for managing translation strings and integrated Weblate into the localization workflow, which streamlined the translation process and reduced manual effort. Collaborated with translation teams to ensure consistency and alignment with the project’s localization roadmap, laying the groundwork for improved user experience and future internationalization. Emphasized Git-based traceability to maintain clear records of changes, including a dedicated commit for the Finnish update. The work contributed to a more accessible interface for Finnish users and supported ongoing localization efforts.
