During a one-month contribution to the IfcOpenShell/IfcOpenShell repository, Luben developed a Visual Studio Code debugging configuration tailored for the Bonsai project. This work introduced launch.json and tasks.json files, enabling remote debugging and automated task execution to streamline the development workflow. By leveraging Python scripting, JSON configuration, and expertise in VSCode tooling, Luben reduced setup time for new contributors and improved consistency in debugging practices across the codebase. The feature addressed onboarding challenges by providing ready-to-use settings, enhancing productivity for the team. No bugs were fixed during this period, with the focus placed on workflow automation and developer experience.
