Worked on stability and robustness improvements for the pulumi/opentofu and opentofu/opentofu repositories, focusing on backend and cross-platform development using Go. Addressed a resource leak in module manifest snapshot reading by ensuring file readers were properly closed, which improved reliability and prevented issues during configuration loading. Enhanced test reliability on Windows by refining permission handling, using icacls to accurately simulate permission errors and ensure consistent test behavior across operating systems. Prioritized resource management and unit testing, resulting in reduced test flakiness and improved platform parity. These targeted bug fixes contributed to more reliable builds and streamlined release readiness for both repositories.
