Worked on the nerves_hub_web repository to enhance the firmware upload process by enabling support for product names containing spaces, a scenario that previously led to upload errors and customer friction. Addressed this by updating the multipart parser to correctly handle spaces and non-word characters, thereby preventing 'request too large' errors during uploads. Developed comprehensive tests to validate the new upload flow across multiple scenarios, ensuring reliability and scalability. Utilized Elixir and the Phoenix Framework to implement these backend improvements, focusing on robust API development. This work reduced upload failures and streamlined onboarding for customers with more complex product naming conventions.
