During February 2026, Daniel Trescot enhanced video encoding capabilities in the THEOplayer/documentation repository by delivering Ad-engine Video Encoding Enhancements. He introduced new properties for source options and track selectors within the ad-engine YAML configuration, enabling trim options and overlay filters for video processing. This work leveraged his skills in API development, configuration management, and video processing, focusing on improving encoding customization for advertisers and publishers. Daniel’s changes allowed for richer ad encoding configurations, supporting better ad quality and targeting.
