Worked on the diggerhq/digger repository to enhance the reliability of the Auto-merge workflow within the Orchestrator backend. Addressed a critical bug by introducing coordinated execution controls, specifically implementing coverAllImpactedProjects in digger_batches and persisting context to ensure auto-merge only proceeds after all required jobs complete. This backend development effort stabilized automated merge processes, reducing premature merges and the need for manual intervention. Leveraged Go for backend logic and applied DevOps principles alongside Infrastructure as Code practices to improve state management and job orchestration. The work focused on backend robustness, emphasizing correctness and reliability in continuous integration pipelines.
