
In February 2025, Michael Haecker developed a macOS packaging and launch wrapper for the ut1999 application in the Saghen/nixpkgs repository. He repackaged ut1999 to relocate the application bundle into the standard Applications folder and created a wrapper script in bin, enabling users to launch the app via nix run on Darwin systems. This work focused on aligning with macOS distribution conventions and improving usability for macOS users.
