During February 2025, Daniel Zhu focused on stabilizing the OpenSCAD formatting workflow in the tweag/topiary repository by addressing a bug related to spacing around arguments. He improved the code formatting process by refining how the formatter handles spaces, preventing unintended operator interpretations in OpenSCAD files. This work involved updating the CHANGELOG and making minor syntax corrections in the test suite to ensure alignment with the new behavior. Leveraging skills in code formatting, text processing, and the SCM language, Daniel’s targeted fix enhanced formatting accuracy, reduced downstream defects, and streamlined code review and debugging for developers working with OpenSCAD files.
