Worked on the gravity-ui/uikit repository to enhance upgrade readiness and type safety for upcoming React versions. Focused on updating type definitions across multiple components to support null refs, ensuring compatibility with React 19 and reducing migration risk for downstream applications. Leveraged TypeScript and React to address typing gaps, which improved compile-time error detection and runtime safety. The approach emphasized disciplined handling of refs and maintainable TypeScript typings, preparing the codebase for future updates. This work contributed to a smoother migration path for applications relying on the UI kit, while reinforcing best practices in front end development and cross-component type management.
