Developed Gemini GenAI model support for the langchain4j repository by introducing a new integration module that enables Gemini models through Google’s official Java client. The work focused on seamless API integration, ensuring compatibility with existing LangChain4j functionality while maintaining API stability. Leveraging Java, Maven, and unit testing, the developer implemented comprehensive end-to-end tests covering both positive and negative scenarios, resulting in consistently green test suites. Documentation was updated and the new module was incorporated into the project’s root pom.xml and BOM. This contribution demonstrated effective cross-team collaboration and delivered robust, well-tested support for Google GenAI within the LangChain4j ecosystem.
