Eba Pachi contributed to the zed-industries/zed repository by delivering targeted backend improvements focused on licensing governance and data fetch reliability. Using Rust and leveraging skills in file handling and package management, Eba corrected license symlinks and renamed license files to ensure GPL and Apache licenses were properly linked to their respective crates, reducing compliance risk and streamlining audits. Additionally, Eba enhanced the fetch command’s content-type detection logic to more accurately parse headers containing extra data, improving reliability in data retrieval workflows. The work demonstrated a thoughtful approach to code quality and maintainability, addressing both compliance and operational robustness.
