Worked on the red-hat-storage/ocs-ci repository to implement a structured deprecation process for legacy test cases using Python and test automation practices. Developed a feature that systematically renamed outdated tests with a deprecated_* prefix, ensuring historical test coverage was preserved without affecting the active test suite. This approach maintained the integrity of ongoing test runs while allowing for future reactivation or review of deprecated tests as needed. The work emphasized maintainability and traceability by providing clear commit-level documentation and an explicit deprecation strategy, supporting long-term test suite evolution and facilitating easier management of legacy code within the automated testing framework.
